Hi my name is Tom Perry and I am Head Coach at 7 Island Surf. I have lived in Fuerteventura since 2000 and have a very good knowledge about the island, and of course all the local Surf Spots on Fuerteventura.

I have surfed places like Western Australia, California, Sri Lanka, France and of course England. I gained my Surf Coaching experience working for Harlyn Surf School which is one of the best surf schools in Cornwall. Whilst in Cornwall I was able to achieve an SLSA Beach Lifeguarding qualification and also the Surf Coaching qualifications. I am currently a level 3 rated British Surfing Association Coach and I aim to achieve level 4 within the next year.

My philosophy is all about having fun in the water ! But your safety ALWAYS comes first. I find if you are enjoying the waves, you learn a lot quicker and without realising, you´ve already improved. There is a saying in the world of surfing "The best surfer is the surfer who is having the most fun !"
